Over 50 years ago, ice skating made its debut in the Huntsville community. Today, the Benton H. Wilcoxon Municipal Ice Complex is a modern facility with two 85' x 200' rinks, a ballet room, meeting rooms, and party areas. Rink #1 has a viewing area with seating capacity of up to 1,000 spectators.
Figure Skaters and Hockey Players from beginner to National and International Levels train at the Ice Complex. It is the only twin-sheet ice skating facility in North Alabama and caters to many groups including: Aftercare programs, hockey associations, church groups, adults, non-profit associations, and of course the general public. There are also many tournaments and competitions hosted at the facility throughout the year.

Events at the Ice Complex attract consumers with disposable income all across North Alabama. Figure Skating and Hockey are two sports that demand a substantial investment and our customer base is in the middle-income range and higher. The audience at the Ice Complex is an extremely captive one with visits averaging a minimum of two hours. This allows the advertisers' message to be seen multiple times, which aids in retention by the consumer.
